This team is responsible for the well being of our contingent’s participants and staff. The work includes the preparation of a crisis concept for emergencies, providing medical care and the operation of the emergency telephone during the jamboree (contact for parents and relatives).
As a member of the team you have a broad scouting experience – preferably in communications or in cantonal crisis teams – and you are at least 25 years old. Furthermore, you communicate confidently in English and preferably in two national languages (German/French/Italian). With your level-headed manner you contribute to creating a safe experience for all participants and create interesting media content for the ones remaining at home.
As a member of the support team you coordinate all media communications. This means you have to have a good sense for exciting themes and headlines. You work closely with different members of the Swiss Contingent– to gather all required information in time. Furthermore, you coordinate the translations of all texts (you don’t need to translate by yourself though it’s a big advantage if you can do so).
